WAB & Lighthouse Activation 2012

Following the successful activation of Fair Isle in 2011 another joint WAB & Lighthouse activation is planned for Bressay Lighthouse in August 2012.

Continuing the theme of fund raising for a worthwhile cause, a special certificate will be issued with funds going to the RNLI.

2012 Tarmac Challenge

In aid of the Riders Branch of the RBLR Poppy Appeal.

The ride will start from HMS Drake in Plymouth visiting all RAF, ARMY, NAVY, MOD and USAF bases in England, Scotland and Wales.

We hope to work as many YL’s as we can on the weekend of March 10th and 11th to commmerate the 1st 3 YL’s.

I entered the RSGB AFS 80 m contest yesterday as part of IVARC team, it was great fun. I made 102 contacts and heard a couple of other YL’s.
